catspajamasfan Posted November 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2010 Hi All- just wondering if you can provide me some feedback on weather (specifically temperature) to expect at the very end of February cruising Western Caribbean (Roatan, Belize City, Costa Maya)? My first/last cruise was Western Caribbean in mid-january and while the port days (grand cayman and cozumel) were nice and warm, at sea days were a little chilly. Just wondering if experience says we should expect the same for at sea days or if being a month+ later would mean warmer at sea days too? Of course I undersand this isn't an exact science, but just wondering others' experiences. thank you all in advance.
Travelcat2 Posted November 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2010 Here is a link to a weather page that may help. http://caribbean-guide.info/weather/ We sailed in the Western Caribbean 4 years ago in early March. The weather was great. . . . the water was a bit cool. Don't think we had any rain.

okbowler Posted November 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 7, 2010 Feb. 2009 we ran into the same weather you had in Jan. on our Feb. cruise. It seems to me that in the last two years the Carib. and FL. have had cooler temps and rain in the Jan. thru Mar. time period. Bill
imbeth Posted November 7, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 7, 2010 We went in the middle of Feb a few years ago and I thought I was going to freeze! I will never go in Feb again.
jean s Posted November 7, 2010 #6 Share Posted November 7, 2010 We cruise every February and have done the western Caribbean many times. I have always felt the weather was warm and comfortable. Once or twice its been a little windy but nothing to complain about. Of course I'm coming from snowy Massachusetts so the sunshine feels great. Trainer Posted November 9, 2010 #8 Share Posted November 9, 2010 Took a cruise out of Tampa to W. Caribbean this year on the fist of March. First day was very choppy with high seas; even the captain made note of it. Some people were rather sea sick. Second day was better and warmer.
