Penthouse rates??

Asked my TA about upgradingf from a RS to a Penthouse as both are still open for our cruise in a couple of months. She told me that the Penthouse rates are always full fare and never discounted.

 

Is this true?

I originally booked the PH for a 7 day cruise out of San Juan on the Summit but changed the cruise to the 11 day out of San Juan on the Millenium in the PH for the same price as the 7 day.

I am sailing on Summit in Jan and had booked a RS. But price on PH dropped to a point where it was only a $400 more pp so I upgraded . So yes, the price can drop on PH suites.

I don't know what that means "Never discounted". All I can tell you is that last year we were on Mill for 11 days and the PH fare was about 1/2 what it was compared to a few years before.

Not true. I just upgraded to the ph when it had a discounted rate for CT residents less than what we had paid for our RS...so i am living proof it can be done.:D

 

The other PH has not been discounted since...so it appears to be a short window of time in my experience to catch it, and take advantage of it.

Nope, not true. Watched the Penthouse rate drop dramatically on our coming cruise when one of them was released at final payment. So I've actually seen it in black and white on Celebrity's site.
