New Entertainment to start on the Pearl in December

Hello Everyone-

 

I heard on a few posts that a new line up of entertainment/shows begins in December on the Pearl. Does anyone have any information about what the new shows are going to be?

 

Any chance we may get the Blue Man Group on the Pearl...or is that just going to be on the Epic?

I am bumping this up because we sail in March. It woudl be fun to have a new show on board.

My understanding is that it pertains to the "song and dance" production shows, not the headliner-type of acts. On the Pearl we had "South BEach Review" "gardens of the Geisha" and "Sea Legs", presented by the NCL Production Dancers. The new shows will also be "NCL production" singer/dancer shows, just new ones.

This is exactly what is going on. Jean Ryann's contract was not renewed by NCl in lieu of doing the production work themselves.

I hope NCL Productions will be good. NCL has been known for their great shows as compared to some other crusielines. Jean ann Ryan Productions have been great for the last few years I've cruised on NCL. Hope the entertainment standard is still has high!

Actually, NCL owns the rights to the shows; the songs, music, dances, JAR produced them. They should be very similar to the shows in the past. I'm sure NCL will twink them, but overall they should be the same.

We were on the Dawn in Oct. and the Sun last week and the NCL Production Co shows were, IMO, much better than the JAR was.

After many years, is it possible that the Dawn will finally replace Bollywood?

Sounds like they will still be good. A little tweeking never hurts. Maybe they will change the Dawn's shows after it's dry dock in May 2011. Update ship, shows, etc. That could be nice
