We are taking a taxi from Best Western in Mt. Pleasant to the cruise port. There are seven of us. What is the best time to arrive at the port? Arriving earlier is fine with me if it is the optimal time.

Currently the port is saying the terminal is open at noon. Since you are cruising in February you may want to check the Port of Charleston website in January when the next batch of cruise information bulletines are posted.

 

PS The cruise that left on Dec 11th didn't start embarkation until 2pm.

 

Personally we usually get their around 1130 and get in line. You will have a different line and terminal gate since you are arriving in a taxi or limo.

Thanks for that advice--I happened to notice it while looking for hotel recommendations. We sail March 11th. We did the same cruise in July '10 and got there about 10:30-11 and we were on board fast. I didn't even think about the port changing times in the winter!
