We are leaving on the Liberty Jan.14 2011. When we get back to Miami our flight will not leave until 3.45 pm. Anyone have ideas for an excursion that will include kids from ages 11 to 15 to pass the time?:)

I think there is one that goes to south beach to look at the art deco homes and down the beach area, and then will take you to the airport .. not real sure you have enough time though for a excursion and getting to the airport 2 hours early.

We just did this excursion two weeks ago. We really enjoyed it.

We met in the Dining Room at 7:45. About 8:15 we left the ship and picked up our luggage and went to the bus waiting outside. We then had to go to the other side of the port to pick up the Liberty poeple.

The guide explains the architecture and the whole history of Miami and Miami Beach. We got dropped off at 5th street and Ocean Drive. We don't remember the actual time. We know we had atleast two hours to walk around South Beach. We had a 3:55 flight out of FLL and got to the airport at about 2:15 or so.

If you are flying out of MIA, then you will have more time at SB. Worth every penney, it save us sitting in the airport for 5 extra hours.

When we were in Miami, we went over to the South beach area and hit up DASH and MIAMI INK.. our teen girls loved it!

We also walked the beaches and grabbed a bite at the pizza shop across from Miami Ink.. it was a fun time!

We have also done the South Beach tour. In fact, we liked it so much that we did it again a couple of years after the first time. It was a great way to pass the time and we enjoyed learning about the history & culture that shape the area. We were able to catch a 3pm flight with no problem. The guide asks what your flight times are and then they make sure they are back in time for the person with the earliest flight.
