Port Canaveral Car Rental

I am looking to rent a car in Port Canaveral the day before our cruise departs. I am looking for a car rental place that will take us to the port when we drop off the rental.

I used Avis a few years ago and they were great. Except for the big rush at 1030am when all of us from the ship needed to get our cars. But that was just a large volume of people at one time.

I believe I read that one of these charges a "drop off" fee. Please let me know which one, if any does this.

Does everyone just try to go with the rental car company that gives them the best price or is there a favorite that most agree upon to use?

Dollar/Thrifty charges a drop off fee. I believe in the quote I got for a drop off from Cape Canaveral to MCO the fee was going to be $40. We are going to use Avis in January because we were able to get the best rate from them. I have never rented a car before so hopefully everything goes smoothly.

I'm using Budget car rental. They do not charge a drop off fee either. We are picking up the car at the Orlando Airport and dropping off at Budget the morning of the cruise
