CruisinLow Posted January 22, 2012 #76 Share Posted January 22, 2012 EXACTLY I think you should pick the machine you want, when we did it someone coordinated with the casino mgr and we didn't get free drinks or anything, just a losing machine!:) Totally agree Gretchen. No advance warning to the Casino at all. Walk in with your group and collectively decide on a machine. Do not involve the Casino Manager until it is time to pay off and you are all done playing. mintjulip123 Posted January 22, 2012 #78 Share Posted January 22, 2012 Karen' date='[/size']Glad you received the email. Here is another hint for everyone. Slot Pull Hint: As organizer, take a small calculator with you also. then take the total money won and divide by the # of particpates. Remember, you are not going to pay back the cents; just whole dollars. Then I went to the Casino Cashier and asked for a certain number of piles of money. If each person was to get back $23, I asked for 75 (#of people who were in the Slot Pull - include yourself too) piles of money; each with a $20 bill and 3 one dollar bills. Then you can pay off right away. The Casino should have all that money right there at the cage. This takes some time but trust me, everyone will wait for you. Great thanks for the tips on the calculator. I am sure it will make my life easier!

mintjulip123 Posted February 11, 2012 #88 Share Posted February 11, 2012 I have a question to any of you who have organized a slot pull event. How many participants is too many? CruisinLow Posted February 11, 2012 #89 Share Posted February 11, 2012 I have a question to any of you who have organized a slot pull event. How many participants is too many? (if there is such a thing?) What has been your experience? Thanks Karen Karen, The first Slot Pull event that I ran, I had about 70 people particpate. It took a while buy people loved rooting on each other to do good on their pulls. Some people did their pulls and then went and played other games in the casino or just wandered off and then came back when it was time to pay out. The whole thing maybe took 1 1/2 hours but the time went by quickly. The first event that I participated in was run by another person and they divided the group in 2 and used 2 machines. I did not like that as much but it does go faster. My answer would be,there is no such thing as too many unless you were talking 200+.

CruisinLow Posted February 13, 2012 #93 Share Posted February 13, 2012 [/size]Ok I have to ask, if you had 70 people, did ya win? Karen Yes, we did win. Do not remember the exact amount but it was about $9 over the amount that we had each put in. Then on that same cruise we did a 2nd slot pull and we broke even the 2nd time. It was sure lots of fun.
