Liquor / drug stores near Ft Lauderdale port

I will be on a cruise from Ft Lauderdale in Feb. My plane lands around 9 am so I will have plenty of time before getting to the port.

 

I am curious what is near the port. I am thinking of buying a couple of 2 liter bottles of soda and a bottle of wine. It would be easier to buy in FL vs. packing in my bag, risking an overweight bag, and then having to remember to take out and put in my carry on at the airport so they are not confiscated.

There is a Walgreen's drug store at the entrance to the port. There is also a shopping center close by that has a liquor store in it. Just ask your cab driver to stop.

Within a mile or so of the port, there is a shopping center with a Publix and liquor shop. Wine is sold in Publix, if you're interested. I don't recall the exact street, but the shopping center is walking distance from the Embassy Suites hotel in Fort Lauderdale. Hope this helps.
