As one of the dry dock upgrades RCCL put in a cup cake shop in the promenade...does anyone know what the cost of these cupcakes are...the idea is unique...not sure how much people will want to buy cupcakes...????

does anyone have any pictures...someone said on another thread thay were kind of neat looking...for $2.50 a cupcake better be different from the hum drum standard cupcake with frosting coated on the top...if anyone from the the new liberty shop or any of the other shops on different ships please post your cup cake pictures...

the initial responses on the cup cake shop don't sound all that great for a $2.50 CUPCAKE...and this replaced a shave shop on the Liberty of the Sea's...I WONDER IF THEY CAN MAKE ME A GERMAN CHOCOLATE CUP CAKE FOR MY BIRTHDAY WHEN WE ARE ON THE LIBERTY OF THE SEA'S March 19th week...

Hey Mike. As far as Cupcake replacing shave shop, when we were on Freedom alst November 2009, I only saw 2 people in the shave shop all week. Grant it I was not standing there 24/7 but I always felt the shave shops were not a good revenue source.

James let's give it another couple of months...we have to believe that someone at RCCL did their homework to see if their is demand for revenue cup cakes on a cruise ship...?????...kind of like a retail store on franchise row that keeps changing hands...JAMES did i see correct...while watching the wild and the blues last night that the canadians and the flames are playing another outdoor game next week...the 20th...

Mike: I think that while the cupcakes are pricey, I am sure they will generate more ??? than the shave shop did.

Yes - the Habs are playing the flames in the Heritage Classic. Should be fun.

Cupcakes are not bad and yes a lot of people eat them. It's like everything else, your on vacation don't want to spend money stay home.

People who don't care to pay for cupcakes should stay home..... You are serious? To paraphrase your screen name.... itsyourbuc... they are my bucks and I'll spend them as I please. And I doubt that it will be on cupcakes.

Disappointed, they were good but very sweet. Not worth a second one. Would rather see different pastries French, Italy nut rolls and things like in a pastry shop. But they should be in the restaurants anyway...........

I have to think that pain au chocolate would sell like hotcakes, drool.... Yeah, I'd rather see pastries, too.
