Im the answer is here if i just look lonnng enough but will be on carnival conquest 3/6-3/11, is there a captains party??? free drinks??? and what are good ideas for winging it at grand caymans??? thanks

On 1st formal night the captain and his staff are introduced at 8PM. Drinks are $1.00 off from 5 to 8. There is no more meet and shake the captian's hand party.

 

There is a past passenger party with free drinks and usually a final farewell the last night from 5 to 6, again with free drinks. But most people don't know this as the 'Fun times' doesn't say this, it just lists it as something to do at 5pm. The show band and their singer play for dancing. The waiters walk around with drinks on their tray but you can ask for whatever you want and they will get it.

Most cruise lines actually have 2 captains parties. The 1st is the big one everybody knows about & all past guests are invited to. There is a 2nd more exclusive one for suite passangers & other VIPs. That one is by invitation only.
