CFD130 Posted March 4, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2011 We have stayed at the Mariott twice-very nice rooms-great views, a nice beach, there is a store down the street to get the things you forgot, restaurants handy etc. Stayed at the Sheraton Old San Juan and although the location was great we didnt like the hotel at all JMHO
Embracedbylife Posted March 4, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 4, 2011 We have stayed at both the marriott stellarius and also the hilton caribe and recommend both - would stay at either again in a heartbeat! booked both through priceline, named my own price by selecting resorts in condado - loved both places!! there is a thread on the san juan ports of call board for priceline bid history in case you want to read more about it! snrlnd Posted March 4, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 4, 2011 If you can book it for one night I would highly recommend the Hotel El Convento in Old SJ. Outstanding!!!
Texcruise Posted March 4, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 4, 2011 If anyone has stayed at Hotel Milano please give me your thoughts. Thanks!
runnerodb83 Posted March 4, 2011 #7 Share Posted March 4, 2011 Hotel Cervantes... Its a botique hotel that has 9 rooms total I think. Very nice hwoever in old san juan, right near the Old San Juan Pier and a close walk to Fort Cristobal. Good rates and a very european continental breakfast (read, toast, fruit, juice, assorted jellies and pastries).
SeaTeach Posted March 4, 2011 #8 Share Posted March 4, 2011 Love, just love El Convento. This is a boutique hotel in the Old San Juan, close to major attractions. The hotel has several eating venues, comp wine and cheese on the terrace each evening, a small roof top pool, and various packages. Our Fav. mph045 Posted March 4, 2011 #10 Share Posted March 4, 2011 I would recommend going through Priceline and checking Condado-we love the Mariott Stellaris with its pool-staff-coffee shop and close to Miros across the street-great restaurant. We did not care for the Old San Juan Sheraton-too small-too noisy-needs alot of upgradeing, also stayed at LaConchra-nice Hotel-stay away on weekends due to weekend bands in Lobby! NancyC Posted March 5, 2011 #11 Share Posted March 5, 2011 I would second Da House for price, cleanliness and ambience of Old San Juan.
