freshstart19 Posted March 5, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2011 (edited) My DD is leaving tomorrow on the Pride out of Baltimore. They will be stopping in Port Canaveral. I'm putting together directions for the girls for all of their ports since they are doing excursions on their own to save money. I've read that there's a free shuttle by the Radission with these directions. Can anyone hop on that shuttle if they are not staying at the hotel? "When you get off the ship keep going right past all the shuttles and look for the Radisson shuttle. It's free and the beach you're taken to sounds nice with chair and umbrella rentals." Is this beach near Ron Jon's if my daughter decides to take a surfing lesson or the Cocoa Beach Pier that I've been reading about? Thanks! WendyVF Posted March 5, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2011 It takes you to Cocoa Beach Surf shop which is next to Ron Jon's. You walk 2 blocks back to the beach. It was a bit of a walk to the pier. The shuttle was convenient and on time.
freshstart19 Posted March 5, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted March 5, 2011 Would you recommend this area over the pier area? These are 21 year old girls.....

Little Ann Posted March 8, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 8, 2011 This is indeed a totally free shuttle and it stops right next door to Ron Jons. Anyone can use it, you don't need to be a guest of the hotel. There's also a very clean public washroom right at the drop off point and it's a short walk to the beach. Hope you can still somehow get this info to your DD.

Beach.dreamers4 Posted March 11, 2011 #7 Share Posted March 11, 2011 Sorry to be redundant, but I want to make sure I have this right. We are planning to find this shuttle when we cruise on the Jewel in just over a week. Would we look for the Radisson Shuttle that looks like the one pictured here? Thank you so much! WendyVF Posted March 11, 2011 #8 Share Posted March 11, 2011 Yes. Go to the right when you exit the terminal. When we went, it was the very last shuttle all the way at the end.
barb-ottawa Posted March 16, 2011 #9 Share Posted March 16, 2011 Does this shuttle make several trips back and forth to the beach/pier or do you have to stay at the beach for several hours?
WendyVF Posted March 17, 2011 #10 Share Posted March 17, 2011 It's continuous. I don't remember if it was every hour or half hour but it did run on time.
olliebird Posted March 17, 2011 #11 Share Posted March 17, 2011 It's continuous. I don't remember if it was every hour or half hour but it did run on time. They have 3 or 4 shuttles and they go back and forth. It is just 10 to 15 minutes away.

timotht73 Posted March 22, 2011 #15 Share Posted March 22, 2011 The free bus goes to Cocoa Beach Surf Company. It's easy to find coming out of the terminal. Cocoa Beach Surf Company is a pretty nice place to visit. It's a huge surf shop probably as big as Ron Jons but it has a Starbucks, a nice restaurant and a VERY COOL aquarium with SHARKS. You obviously can't beat the deal, and it's close to everything, a block from the beach.
RockinDisneyWife Posted January 2, 2014 #16 Share Posted January 2, 2014 Is this still the case? My husband and I sail on Carnival Pride this coming weekend and will be in Port Canaveral next Monday - don't want to spend money on a shuttle if there's one available for free! lucasseven Posted April 3, 2014 #20 Share Posted April 3, 2014 (edited) Was this the Radisson shuttle? I know there are many shuttles outside the terminal, but the Radisson one was always way down the end and free. I'm coming in on the 5th of May and I was hoping it was still there.
