ilovhywd Posted March 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2011 We are contemplating booking a Princess cruise that ends in Southampton on May 22 together with a Queen Victoria cruise that departs that same day. Surely, we would not be allowed to board the QV early, but do you think they would let us deposit our luggage so that we could go into town for awhile before boarding the ship? (I guess we would have to take our carry-ons with us). It would be very nice to avoid spending half a day in the cruise terminal! Thanks for any suggestions! The chances are that you will be able to board from about 11.30 to Noon, you will be able to hand your luggage over to the porters from about 10am, but I advise that you check with the Purser/Concierge on Princess. ilovhywd Posted March 9, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted March 9, 2011 Oh, that's good! If we don't rush off the Princess ship, we may not have to wait too long to board the Queen. Hopefully we can pull our luggage easily from one pier to the other. After 2 weeks of dining on the Princess ship, we might have to roll from one ship to the other! Thanks for your reply! Depending upon which berths your ships occupy, you might have quite a walk between them. Princess might offer a shuttle, more likely not! Failig that a short cab ride to drop the bags and then continue into town for a look round and to appease the cab driver for such a short ride.
