Geebles Posted March 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2011 Has anyone been on an Oceania reunion cruise? We are wondering what the "special events and surprises" might consist of?
doubledobles Posted March 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2011 We've been on two of them. The only special event I remember is a fabulous, and I mean fabulous dinner on shore with Nick DeSantis, head of Oceania's membership. Additonally, everyone who attends usually gets a gift at the end of the trip to commemorate the cruise. However, I do remember these cruises as being exceptionally full of fun, which is why we're atending the one in 2012 even though it's only 10 days.

Or is it just for the VIP's?

Even on a Reunion cruise, everyone wont be a repeat passenger. Naturally, some of the activities are based on the tier of the repeater club that you are in. Rare LHT28 Posted March 26, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 26, 2011 Even on a Reunion cruise, everyone wont be a repeat passenger. True but I would think the majority would be We have been on cruises where the repeat cruisers are more than half of the total passengers (450 out of 684) Our Marina cruise had 800 repeat cruisers Lyn
cbb Posted March 26, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 26, 2011 free shuttles in every port, gift at end of cruise, dinner(s) with officers, cocktail parties (so free booze), and pretty cool entertainment in ports as we arrived/departed.

RJB Posted March 27, 2011 #8 Share Posted March 27, 2011 Last years reunion cruise was really great. All of the above comments were right on. This year only 10 days, so not long enough for us. As in a previous thread we think the shorter O cruises are going away from what O has been for the last 7 or 8 years and we will think hard what we will do in the future. O has been the best cruise line for during this time, but I guess everything has to come to an end sooner or later. TOO bad.
