NOORDAM - Sea View Pool Aft

Is there an place to shower by this pool? I've looked at the ship plans and photos and can't tell. Also, does the pool water have a lot of chlorine/chemicals in it? Thanks in advance for the information.

Yes to the shower---not sure how strong the chlorine is though.

Yes on the shower, and I am not sure they use chlorine. It may be one of the related chemicals. If it is chlorine, it isn't strong.

 

The hot tubs on the other hand, fairly strong chlorine.

I thought it used sea water for the aft pool. I know they drain it frequently.

I don't think they use chlorine any longer - I think they use Bromine, which is better for the environment.

It is desalinated sea water.

About 10 % of the population (1 in 10) have a significant allergy to bromine in pools. Most do not know it and just think that pools are infected. But it is serious and totally pointless on a cruise ship. There are no environment advantages to either produce. One is just more toxic and thus creates alergies.

Do you notice how close those showers are to the tables ( and they really are!) ? If there is a good breeze, more than the person in the shower gets wet. :eek:

Yes -- some people could get wet.

But many people move their tables and chairs away from the pool.

I took that picture shortly after the crew had set up everything for the day.
