It appears that Facebook is blocked in China. I have tried several times and cannot get to their website. Other sites I try work fine.

And Youtube and any Blog Sites. Got round the latter by emailing our daily posts to our daughter who then posted them onto our site!

Just here in Shanghai until Wednesday, then we board the Ocean Princess and I will be able to get on FB as needed.

Just in Shanghai until Wednesday when we board the Ocean Princess. I will just survive without FB for a few days. You can tell from that comment that I am OLD.

While I didn't try to access Facebook from a China wifi, a fellow passenger on our cruise had the same experience and couldn't access FB. We were able to get on Facebook fine on the ship though, even when it was docked in China. :)

got to facebook on my kindle kiddies! they haven't figured out how to block that yet.
