Sheraton San Pedro RECENTLY?

I thought I would ask Princess cruisers also.......I was curious if anyone has stayed at the Sheraton Los Angeles Harbor in the last couple of weeks.? I have a room booked for my Monarch of the Seas cruise on March 21st, and now I'm hearing a lot about it changing hands in April. I'm a little worried that it's not going to be so great due to the changeover. I did book the Park and Sail package, and that's just fine, but I don't want to stay at a dive. Any input would be great.

Thanks, :D

We stayed at the Sheraton-San Pedro for 2 nights mid-Feb. waiting to leave on the Island Princess. We could not tell there was evidence of a coming change of ownership. Our room was clean. The service in the restaurant was slow and the breakfast buffet was only fair in quality. It took 4 hours and several contacts to the desk to get a shower stool delivered to our room. Then it malfunctioned. This caused us to have a discussion about the "Sheraton Service Promise "with the front desk manager the next morning and an agreement was reached. On the plus side they did host a free to guests Thursday evening cruise of the San Pedro-Long Beach Harbor. It was about 1.5 hours and free snacks, wine.beer, and pop were served. I do not know how long that promo will continue. As someone else commented, I do not believe this facility is true Sheraton quality, but it was close to the ship and one of few San Pedro has to offer.
