cb at sea Posted April 22, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2011 Bring binoculars! There's alot to see at sea! As far as excursions, research your ports before you start booking things. You may realize that what you want to do is easier and cheaper if you do it on your own. A guidebook is the best investment into your shore time you can make. 6rugrats Posted April 22, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 22, 2011 Advice? Go to the Carnival boards and ask your questions, and also go to the roll call for your sailing where you can find out what others are doing.
jerry2457 Posted April 23, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 23, 2011 The best tip I can give you was already suggested. Stop by a local bookstore and check out the travel books (Frommer's is a good one) & read up on what is offered in your ports. They will also give you names of companies that offer excursions. Some things like a trip to a beach you do on your own via a cab ride. Check and see what is offered via the ship and then google a specific port and shore excursions. It will give you some ideas on what kind of cost you would have & some things that you may be interested in doing may well be available by contacting them directly via email.
