gillme Posted April 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Does the lunch menu in the Lido Buffet change each day? ...and what about the Lido dinner menu?.... And is there afternoon tea anywhere? As you can see just thinking about food questions at the moment!! Many thanks for any responses. Gill
capasamari Posted April 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Yes, there will be different dishes each day with a selection of hot and cold food. Some choices will be the same, for example there will always be salads and chips. The menu will be posted at the entrance, along with the Seven Seas Restaurant menu so you can compare the two to see which you prefer. If I remember correctly, some of the choices will be available in both anyway. Afternoon tea is available in the Lido with a selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. I'm not sure if this is served in the Seven Seas or not. As a rule you serve yourself in the Lido, but if there are any issues regarding Norovirus on the ship the waiters will serve you. There are hand sanitisers at both entrances. Carol x
Haydrew Posted April 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2011 yeah changes every day, similar sort of stuff but a good variety for all tastes. The Severn Seas does 5 course waiter service at lunch time too which is lovely, great for stopping you gorging at lunch lol. Our fave was the Pool Grill we didn't like the Lido lay out at all. We'd eat breakfast and evening meal in the Severn Seas and lunch at the Pool Grill. I loved the salads and bbq chicken at the Grill. Afternoon cream teas in the Lido about 3 - 3:30pm. If you're all inclusive you can ask for tea/coffee at any bar inside the ship if not to my knowledge you can only get it in the Lido self service on the top deck. Ceabea Posted April 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Thomson ships do a themed menu every day - for instance on our recent cruise on Dream we had an indian buffet, a tex-mex buffet, a british night, a french night and an italian night - all very very delish. Some of the dishes they have in the seven seas will be available in the buffet to a lesser degree, but only a few and usually if theres a meat/fish in sauce/stew/caserole type of dish. Last year when we were on Destiny there was always the salad bar and a pasta dish every night, and some chips - on Dream pasta wasnt always available, as the pasta station was in the sirens which became an a la carte restaurant in the evening.
