Louise34 Posted May 31, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2011 Check the Princess website, log in, and check your cruise fare. It decreased by $200 for a past passenger. Just contacted my TA and got the decrease on a Feb. cruise. Good luck.

Saruman Posted May 31, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2011 Unless, of course, one booked directly with Princess and it is now past the final payment date...:(
cruisin'tex Posted May 31, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 31, 2011 Check the Princess website, log in, and check your cruise fare. It decreased by $200 for a past passenger. Just contacted my TA and got the decrease on a Feb. cruise. Good luck. Booked a November cruise with Princess while onboard a Princess cruise last month. Checked Princess site two weeks ago and price had dropped $200 pp. Contacted Princess and had our final amount due adjusted.
remydiva Posted May 31, 2011 #5 Share Posted May 31, 2011 I constantly check and did so just now and my Panama cruise has gone up...could be as all the minisuites are waitlisted so I was lucky to snag one at a lower price.
Cruzanfan Posted May 31, 2011 #6 Share Posted May 31, 2011 I have been checking and so far our March 2012 sailing is still the same price.....:(:(:(

Happy girl2 Posted May 31, 2011 #9 Share Posted May 31, 2011 This is great for those of you in the USA but for us in the UK it is the same story of no price drop :mad::mad: it is so unfair
Rare PescadoAmarillo Posted May 31, 2011 #10 Share Posted May 31, 2011 but our price hasn't come down. When everyone elses did on our last cruise ours never did then either!!!!:( Ours hasn't either. Last year we got huge savings before final payment...I'm still betting we will this year too. It's a long time before final payment for the Jan-Mar 2012 cruises. Whimsy Posted May 31, 2011 #11 Share Posted May 31, 2011 I just got off the phone with my TA and was able to take advantage of a lower price for our cabins. I was also able to upgrade our daughter. Wonderful!
Vexorg Posted May 31, 2011 #12 Share Posted May 31, 2011 A couple of weeks ago I caught a $100 price drop on the 5-day coastal I have booked in September after getting a tip from the roll call.
MustangGT Posted May 31, 2011 #13 Share Posted May 31, 2011 We haven't seen a price drop either - we sail in Sept 2012. Still hoping!!:)
Missing Linc Posted May 31, 2011 #14 Share Posted May 31, 2011 For my wife and I balcony on March CB sailing it went down $250 per person. My daughter accross the hall in an inside went up $100 per person. Guess that tells what is selling on our cruise.
coops Posted June 1, 2011 #15 Share Posted June 1, 2011 We are sailing March 24 2012 on the Grand and the price dropped 210pp for ad mini suite. Dawn
zogrand Posted June 1, 2011 #16 Share Posted June 1, 2011 Our BA cabin on the Coral for February went down $540 for the 2 of us - just 2 days after we booked it!!:):):)
jrzebird Posted June 1, 2011 #17 Share Posted June 1, 2011 Last year my Canada/NE cruise went down $250.00 pp before final payment. This year, it went up. Of course, I have a single supplement this year, so not sure it would go down anyway. I can't get prices tonight on the site. Final payment is due next Monday, and I wrote to my TA and asked him to check the fare before making payment.
gooch47 Posted June 1, 2011 #18 Share Posted June 1, 2011 We are obviously doing something wrong, or maybe we need to give our TA grief, but in ALL 50 of our cruises we have never been able to take advantage of a price drop.
tntfox Posted June 1, 2011 #19 Share Posted June 1, 2011 Ok, so I'm totally confused now. When I checked the website last night for fares for our sailing, our category had dropped $100 pp. I sent an email to our TA (a Princess agent), got the confirmation that she read the email, but she never responded. We heard from friends of ours last night that are sailing with us that they received a $200 pp fare decrease. This morning when I logged on, with every intention of calling our TA first thing this morning, the rate has now jumped $50 pp. What?!?!?
flamomo Posted June 1, 2011 #20 Share Posted June 1, 2011 Hmmmm ..... I have cruises #11, 12 and 13 booked, and the fares for NONE of them have decreased below what we booked for!!! Guess I'll just keep watching and hoping.
Go-Bucks! Posted June 1, 2011 #21 Share Posted June 1, 2011 We are obviously doing something wrong, or maybe we need to give our TA grief, but in ALL 50 of our cruises we have never been able to take advantage of a price drop. That's weird 'cuz I've gotten price drops on all 3 of my past Princess cruises, as well as the 2 that are coming up. I always book early even though the price is higher than at the "last minute", but I get the room I want. The prices usually start dropping 6-9 months before sailing and I'll usually get 2-4 drops by final payment. On my next cruise, there was a final price drop just a few days before final payment but I had already given the money to my TA, so the TA gave me $150 of OBC, which was actually more than the drop! There has been 1 drop on my March, 2012 already. Gotta keep a close eye on the prices and it helps when CC members alert everyone! :D
flamomo Posted June 1, 2011 #22 Share Posted June 1, 2011 I've gotten fare reductions on several Princess cruises in the past, sometimes more than one on a given cruise, but nothing this round for those three now booked. DARN!!!
Rare nunuc2000 Posted June 1, 2011 #23 Share Posted June 1, 2011 No reductions for our B2B yet... but it's still over 16 months away :( Wow... that sure is a loooonnnnggg time to wait - I think we may have to book another cruise in between :p
billco Posted June 1, 2011 #24 Share Posted June 1, 2011 No reductions for our B2B yet... but it's still over 16 months away :( Wow... that sure is a loooonnnnggg time to wait - I think we may have to book another cruise in between :pExactly what happened to us. We recently booked an Hawaii cruise for November, 2012. Then my wife came home and said some friends had booked an Alaska cruise for July, 2012 and she wanted to join them. So, we booked that too. Then with all the excitement, I started thinking I can't wait until July of next year to go on a cruise, so we booked a Panama cruise for this October. Still seems like too long to wait. mph045 Posted June 1, 2011 #25 Share Posted June 1, 2011 Our cruise in Dec 2011 remains the same price for a mini suite-it dropped this past February 2011-Hopeing it drops more before September when due in full.
