a+teacher Posted June 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2011 Thanks to so many of you that have replied about Miami hotes on Sunday night and the fact that Miami Heat is playing that night. I worry about that partying chaos and traffic and even being able to find a restaurant in Miami. So now I am thinking maybe I should just book a Fort Lauderdale Hotel and use a shuttle to POM or drive/park at POM. Any thoughts?
cruzin4our10th Posted June 9, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 9, 2011 Not sure how crazy it will be, but I've sailed out of both and really prefer the downtown Miami atmosphere. If you're arriving early in the day I really can't imagine traffic will be that bad. There are a ton of places to eat at Bayside.
Justsyd Posted June 9, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2011 Have you tried LMT for a room at the InterContinental? They are usually affordable there. I just checked...you can book it for $119 per night! You can walk to Bayside from the hotel.
cwagner99 Posted June 9, 2011 #4 Share Posted June 9, 2011 On last minute travel, how can you tell which one is the Intercontinental?
S.S.Oceanlover Posted June 9, 2011 #5 Share Posted June 9, 2011 On last minute travel, how can you tell which one is the Intercontinental? First look for a 5 star downtown hotel and then where it says description click on that and scroll down to where it says meeting facilities. If it says 66,000 sq ft of event space it's the Intercontinental. Bill
