It's a cruise line and there are

Many out there. Go and explore have fun

Enjoy

I go on many different lines and never felt sorry for any trip I took

I've been on about 25 cruises and could probably count on one hand the number of shows I've seen, and most of them were on Celebrity's Horizon where the weather forced us to spend the entire trip in Hamilton, Bermuda, so the casino was never open.

I keep meaning to check out the shows, but our groups always have late seating and by the time dinner is over, the casino, piano bar, and disco are all beckoning. If my luck is poor in the casino, I might catch one of the midnight comedy shows.

There is just so much to do on the Carnival ships that I don't think I could ever get bored. :)

I don't cruise for the shows and I try to take a seat near an entrance so I can slip out unnoticed easily. Some of them are okay, but there are so many other things to do on the ship that I rarely stay unless a new cruiser is cruising with me.

I cruise for the itineraries and I'm looking at another Princess soon, maybe.

I wish the ships had better movies. Not keen on the outdoor ones unless in the Caribbean. I like how Holland America ships have movie theatres or sceening rooms depending on the size of ship. I don't like watching movies in the cabin. Once in awhile Carnival may show a movie in the comedy club room. Just wish there were more of them shown at various times during the day or evening. I would go to a movie rather than the show lounge. Lots of people would enjoy a good movie.

I think the shows rock on Carnival...often literally. Plenty of rock n roll songs.

The production shows are always a hit with me.

There is nothing wrong with trying a different cruise-line is hopes of seeing something different though.

I work in an arts center in Atlanta, so I get free tickeets to all the main stage shows, and I don't cruise for the shows. I do have nightmares though of being on a cruise ship and selling tickets to the theatre, and everyone wants an aisle seat???? I need a vacation.:o

If the entertainment is indeed that important to the OP then moving to a cruise line after seeing the same shows over and over is the right thing to do. It's no different than wanting to visit a different city because you've done everything in the old ones that you wanted to do. It's a shame the OP won't experience all the different classes of ship in the Carnival fleet but maybe that's not important to the OP either.

I myself cruised Carnival about a dozen times before I moved on. In between I hit RCI and back and forth between them and Carnival. Then on to Princess Cruises, and a mix of them and Holland-America, Celebrity, NCL, Cruise West, and Cunard. This year it's Celebrity again, next year Princess. The variety of offerings between the mass market lines is amazing. It's nice to be able to experience them all and maybe find the 'one'. Or maybe not, and just keep changing cruise lines every year. As the old saying goes....

Variety is the spice of life.

I don't know if they do this but it would seem to me that they could create different shows for different ships and then rotate the shows every few months to other ships so people woudn't tire of them as quickly.

Since my first cruise is coming up, I will probably try to catch a few of them, depends on what I find happening at the same time the shows are and what I want to do more.

If they did rotate the shows, let's say you went on the Destiny and saw the show. Now they move that show to the Dream. Now you want to go on the Dream for a cruise. Guess what...you've already seen the show.

How does everyone on here go on multiple cruises a year on carnival and not get tired of the fact that they don't change up there shows!

Easy! We don't go to the shows! :D

I think I read somewhere that they only change the shows once every year or two. They're so expensive to produce, it doesn't make sense to change them more often.

According to the info received this week on the Behind the Fun tour on Freedom - they only change the shows when a ship is dry docked.

For me, the shows are so corny and ridiculous that i dont even go.

I do like the comedian, but thats the only show i go to.

I'd rather spend my time dancing, gambling, playing in the arcade, laying out, eating, etc. over watching the shows.

And, because carnival caters to such a 'first time cruiser' demographic, the repeated shows arent one of their concerns.

How can you say that the "Talking Couch" is corny and ridiculous? I find it sophisticated and incredibly hip, even after seeing it 7 times over the the last 6 years.

I have seen the "talking couch" twice myself. It was part of a good show though.

:(I have been on 3 cruises with carnival and have loved them all! Now I have booked a b2b on rcl. I would love to have booked it with carnival but unfortunately they don't ever seem to change there entertainment and shows. I really enjoyed there shows but not enough to see them over and over and over! How does everyone on here go on multiple cruises a year on carnival and not get tired of the fact that they don't change up there shows! I really hope they change them one day so I can return because I love everything else about carnival and can only hope I have half as good of time on rcl:confused:

I never understood why people feel the need to be "married" to any cruise line. Different entertainment, different types of ships, different styles, and different itineraries are all reasons we go on different lines. In the next three years, we have a Carnival, Princess, and RCI cruises lined up. We would do Celebrity as well.
