cruiseqe2 Posted June 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2011 Hi I normally travel alone, and as I am a Diamond member I enjoy shorter queues at dedicated check-in desks and priority boarding. (I know that the desks are shared with the Grill Class passengers.) My question is this. If I were to bring along a Cunard Virgin who will by sharing my cabin, will they be allowed to check in with me (at the dedicated check-in desks), and board with me (as a Priority boarder)? I look forward to your replies (esp. if they are 'YES'!). Thanks Mark (in London).

pnhmrk Posted June 28, 2011 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2011 I was Diamond long before my husband even reached Platinum (although he is Diamond now :) ). We never had any problem checking in together - we didn't even bother asking we just stood at the desk together. The times you will find a difference are in things like the complimentary wine tasting or the free lunch in TE. In both these cases your friend can go with you but will need to pay. :)
cruiseqe2 Posted June 28, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted June 28, 2011 Thanks very much for your replies. I understand about the extra cost items, it was mainly the checking in and boarding that I was enquiring about. After all, it won't cost Cunard any more money, unlike the wine tasting! :D

What l did object to was being asked was l in the Grills, don't they realise you can be a Diamond member without setting foot in the Grills. Anyway lm sure all will be well, QE2 as we know was a world in her own right.
