Jen&Joe Posted August 1, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2011 Hello! We will be sailing to Bermuda with our 2 year old and here is what we have planned. We will be there 3 days and docked at Kings Wharf. Day 1 - Walk the railroad trail and see some of the western part of the island. Day 2 - The Caves (both) and the Aquarium Day 3 - Beach in the AM and exploring the Dockyard in the PM Some questions - 1. Is Day 2 crazy with a 2 year old? Not sure if the caves will be too humid? 2. What is the easiest way to get to the Caves/Aquarium (either ferry to St. George and then the bus or ferry to Hamilton and then the bus)? 3. Is a 2 year old free for the bus/ferry?

I wonder if you know that there are a lot of steep steps to the caves. I think taking a 2 year old even down one of the caves would be tough. Jen&Joe Posted August 2, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted August 2, 2011 We have a carrier to carry him in so he won't be walking at all.
iheartbda Posted August 2, 2011 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2011 Just be aware that there are 88 steep narrow steps down in the Fantasy cave so you will be carrying the 2 years old down then back up. Children under 5 are free on the buses and ferries. Ferry to St. George and then the bus may be a bit quicker. If you take the ferry to Hamilton you have to walk uphill 3-4 block to the bus terminal. As mentioned it is over 80 steep, narrow steps down and back up to carry him.
