What to see

I was thinking of booking Rony's Tours for the 25pp freestyle tour ( basically cab ride) around the island. What should I see? I'm not interested in iguanas or zipline, etc. I just want to see the island..what is not to be missed? I want to take photos and shop without being mobbed by small children. I think hiring a private tour would make me feel safer...I need input..( we are on the Legend Nov 6-13):D

Roatan is a great island for just looking at the beauty of the island. Which, from your post is what you're looking for. Just tell your guide from Rony's that you want to see the lovely island of Roatan. I haven't done Rony's (did Bodden Tours) but there are many beautiful lookout points around the island, plus the interior is just beautiful. Also, we really enjoyed our time over in West End. Very beautiful. We ate lunch at the Half Moon Bay Restaurant. I can't tell you how wonderful this experience was. The food was good. Not great. But, sitting out on their patio with the waves and water splashing up on our feet and the incredibly awesome view of the ocean and bay was beyond words.

We've toured with Rony many times. The "freestyle" tour is a great option. Just have a chat with Rony or the driver when you get there. They can make some great suggestions. The island is beautiful with stunning beaches and amazing snorkeling. There are some beautiful lookout points. I can highly recommend Rony - you will have a great experience!
