Burney555 Posted September 21, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2011 We have cruised a couple of times with our infant on P&O but looking for a change of cruiseline next year. We are interested in Carnival, specifically 'Carnival Breeze', would this be a good choice for my 2 year old???? Do they offer good facilities / Services for this age group? Thanks for your help. crusinmama06 Posted September 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2011 Yep, NCL or Carnival are both a great choice if you want a cruise line that accepts 2 year olds into their kids clubs. On Carnival, they change diapers. On NCL, they page you for diaper changes. The only issue with the Breeze (and its only minor) is that there is no Baby water play area for infants/toddlers in diapers - so the pools/splash areas would be off limits and you would have to bring your own inflatable if you want any water play area. Royal Caribbean Independence (also on your side of the pond) does have a water play area for infants/toddlers - but they don't have a nursery onboard yet. So you would be missing out on your child being able to join in on the kids club. Here are some Carnival Pages so you can see what kind of activities the 2 year olds are doing on CCL ships... http://s204.photobucket.com/albums/bb196/cruisinmama06/Camp%20Carnival%20Capers/?start=all

kitty9 Posted September 22, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 22, 2011 You cannot take any inflatables into the pool, but some parents bring very small blow up pools for their infants to splash about in.
Julienatul Posted September 22, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 22, 2011 We enjoy Carnival with our kids. My 2 year-old likes camp carnival. My 5 year-old LOVES camp carnival. Yes, you can bring inflatables poolside, we have done it when ours were infants. A small blow up pool we placed between the lounge chairs on deck. Burney555 Posted September 23, 2011 Author #7 Share Posted September 23, 2011 Thats good, think I would have a very upset little boy if he saw everyone else playing in the pools and he was not allowed. A little inflatable pool, would be perfect next to our loungers. Thanks for your replies.

Hopefully the little blow up pool and some toys will keep him happy when he sees his siblings in the sprayground area and waterslidE
