Transatlantic Question

According to another thread the initial hold is $50 then additional holds are put on that are approximately equal to the amount you are spending each day.

I always make sure that I take a credit card that has a zero balance and a large enough credit line to double what my highest S&S balance has ever been.

My bank isn't very good at releasing the holds so I typically have all of the holds then the actually final bill both putting pressure against my credit line for 3 or 4 days post cruise.

Does anyone know the amount of the hold Carnival will put on my credit card for the 16 day Magic Transatlantic? I know on a 7 day it is $250.

Well it will be at least enough to cover the tips unless you prepaid them. Our initial hold on our last TA was $250. That seems to be the way the Carnival accounting system is/was programmed.
