check-out cabin

Recommended Posts

Just been reading that You need to leave your cabin fairly early on, usually around 8am, so they can get them ready for the new arrivals. There’s secure storage space for your hand luggage, and there are a few courtesy cabins available. Or, for a small charge, you can book a late check-out cabin.

When we leave the ship it will be late evening and was wondering if anyone has booked a late check-out cabin in the last few weeks/months and could tell us the cost and what time you have to give them the cabin back .

We did the late checkout cabin on the Spirit in Sept it was £35, the courtesy cabins were free but have found on past cruises the lack of towels were a problem late pm, we were lucky and managed to get our own cabin for late checkout 5pm so thought it was well worth it on a hot day.

We had a late check-out cabin last New Year, it was the one next door to ours so not far to move our belongings! It meant we had our own cabin for the final day just as we'd had for the whole cruise, we could leave our hand baggage, and have a shower and change before our flight home in our own time.

The free courtesy cabins are allocated on a 15 minute time slot: not exactly long enough for two of you to shower and change, and you may be given a slot several hours before you leave the ship anyway.

Thank you to all for your answers , I think for the price and the options of a hours kip and a shower when we want one is the more tempting choice over a courtesy cabin .If we was on an early afternoon flight, then I think the gym showers or a half hour scramble through a courtesy cabin would have been ok for us . We will not land back in the UK until the small hours of the following day ,so we will book one of the cabins given the chance . Thanks again to all for your answers .:)
