Balcony Dividers - Eurodam

Can anyone tell me if the dividers between the balconies on the Eurodam can be opened? If it matters, the cabins themselves are connected.

Yes the dividers can be opened on the Westerdam 5134 & 5132 the rooms were next to each other but the ajoining door did not connect to each other so we used the verandah with door opened to go back and forth. Are the dividers steel or clear plexiglass? My TA told me they are plexi glass so not much privacy, hope this isn't true. Would like steel dividers with a plexi-glass railing!!!

Depends upon the location of the staterooms on Deck 4

 

Deck 4 Staterooms VH 4001 through VH 4004 and VF 4005 through VF 4042 these staterooms have solid steel verandah railings instead of clear-view Plexiglas® railings.

 

AFTER I POSTED I reread your question. Duh, I should have done that first, right..... ANTWAY, As lorekauf states the DIVIDERS are metal, but the railings are dependant upon location on Deck 4 only, steel or PlexiGlass.

Uh oh....I don't know if they're steel or plexiglass. Staterooms 4137 and 4139 are the two in question.

Your TA has poor info, the dividers are steel, railings are plexiglass (with some exceptions in froward locations)

Steel railing, plexiglasss railing, divider opened and divider closed (note: between balconies with plexiglass railings that metal-at-an-angle section is not there).

 

 

We had 4 cabins in a row with all the dividers opened, some were connecting, others were not.

As you can see -- it is just a small steel door by the railing that can be opened.

Your cabin steward has a special key to open that door and there is a latch at the top that he can hook the door open so that it doesn't bang when it is windy and when you are at sea.

We had 4 cabins in a row on the Eurodam (5129 through 5135) and the dividers were steel and we were able to have them all open, providing our group with one long balcony. The rail area was plexiglass.
