Colorado Kat Posted October 21, 2011 #52 Share Posted October 21, 2011 I seldom drink, because I always have to drive home. On a ship, that is not a problem, so it's fun to have a few drinks every day!
shootr Posted October 21, 2011 #53 Share Posted October 21, 2011 A Coors Light, a Snickers bar, and a cigar on the balcony watching the sun go down every evening. (If I'm lucky I get this once every few weeks at home).

GlendaleCruiser Posted October 21, 2011 #57 Share Posted October 21, 2011 Have a couple of drinks every day and wine with dinner(at home maybe every 3 months).[No worries about driving home] Dance down the promenade or any other time I hear music. Don't carry a purse, nada, only my S&S in my pocket. Get my picture taken every time I turn around. Eat dessert every night. Go to the 24 hour ice cream at 10:00 for a "little cone". Buy scrapbook materials for my cruise (I never scrapbook otherwise). Talk to strangers everywhere as if I knew them. Play bingo. Hang out at the pool. gelo7 Posted October 21, 2011 #58 Share Posted October 21, 2011 Don't head out for the day with towels on the floor and the bed unmade. Bless those wonderful cabin stewards!:) Kathy Ditto.....

beachbum53 Posted October 22, 2011 #64 Share Posted October 22, 2011 It's great to know that if I want pizza at 1:30 in the morning, I can go get some and not have to call a pizza place and have to wait 20 minutes.
Alwaysundecided Posted October 22, 2011 #65 Share Posted October 22, 2011 Turn off my phone!!! Dressing up in attire and shoes that have no place in ordinary, day to day life.
Duzzy Posted October 22, 2011 #66 Share Posted October 22, 2011 I can't wait for my first cruise! I'm so looking forward to disconnecting, dancing, drinking, snorkeling, napping, watching the sunrise and sunset, and NOT worrying about what needs done! Rare printingchick Posted October 22, 2011 #68 Share Posted October 22, 2011 Ignore the Weight Watcher's point counts and EAT whatever I want, whenever I want!! Dress up for the 70s party (that's a Royal Caribbean event). A couple years ago, my adult daughter and I wore matching mini-dresses and go-go boots. Oh...and Peace-Sign necklaces, of course! Ride on top of the revolving piano in the piano bar. (Carnival Valor - thanks for the fabulous memory, Ron Pass!! SOCIAL!!) Dance to the music of the pool band without caring who's watching. Drink without concern about having to drive or how many calories there are in that specialty drink! No competing in the Hairy Chest/or Sexy Legs contest for me, but I did serve as a judge once. FUN!! Make long-time friends over the course of just a few days. (One of my FAVORITE things about cruising.)

Burlingtontownie Posted October 22, 2011 #70 Share Posted October 22, 2011 Walk around Central Park, on Allure or Oasis, with a full glass of red wine in my hand at 10:30 at night or later. Can't do that in either Boston or NYC.
Shopgirl76 Posted October 22, 2011 #71 Share Posted October 22, 2011 Walk around in my bathing suit for half the day drinking Pina Colodas!::p
savhsu Posted October 22, 2011 #72 Share Posted October 22, 2011 Nearly everything is different when cruising! Drinks by the pool - before noon! Eating waaayyy too much - wonderful meals everyday. Don't carry purse, sit on a balcony watching the ocean, the moon, the shore. Be catered to every minute - that's probably the best difference :)
crusinpsychRN Posted October 22, 2011 #73 Share Posted October 22, 2011 Win a ship on a stick for a trivia game. Go down a waterslide. Come to think of it, I have yet to do this. Be waited on in a restaurant every night for a week. Eat so many reubens. Zip line. Cave tubing.
west coast girl Posted October 22, 2011 #74 Share Posted October 22, 2011 I usually cruise with my elderly mother, she goes to bed early. So I go out by myself at night. Deck parties, midnight snacks, etc..... I would never go to a bar by myself at home!!!
Fighterone Posted October 22, 2011 #75 Share Posted October 22, 2011 Turn off the air conditioning and keep the door to the balcony opened with a bungee cord! Use the squeegee we bring from home to wash off the glass so we can see better while sitting on our balcony. Eat smoked salmon twice a day and pizza every day! Have a bloody Mary before breakfast...
