Topo Gigio Posted October 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Just read on Royal Caribbean's FB that she will be home ported again for cruise season 12-13. My favorite ship!
DanJ Posted October 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 26, 2011 I wonder if they will do the upgrades that Liberty got last spring as well. And also which ship will leave Port Everglades.
Topo Gigio Posted October 26, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted October 26, 2011 My guess would be Liberty. Or the demand is so high that they can justify another ship in Florida!
AdrenalineRush Posted October 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Great news! It would be great if they opened up booking for the TA cruise this or next week, so I can book it onboard :p More info here http://leisuregrouptravel.com/royal-caribbean-announces-freedom-class-sailings-for-2012-13/ The ship will sail a three-night Bahamas cruise, before alternating eight-night Eastern Caribbean and six-night Western Caribbean itineraries. In the Eastern Caribbean, guests will enjoy calls at San Juan, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, and Labadee, Royal Caribbean’s private beach destination on the northern coast of Haiti. In the Western Caribbean, Independence of the Seas will call at Falmouth, Jamaica; George Town, Grand Cayman; and Labadee. Additionally, a special six-night Western Caribbean itinerary, calling at Grand Cayman, and Cozumel and Costa Maya in Mexico, will sail on Jan. 13, 2013

I was on Inde for her last Eastbound TA and it was the best cruise i've been on, and it was cheap as chips! Will certainly be booking it again when available. Guest csn Posted October 26, 2011 #21 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Sooo....... what will be replacing her from Southampton? If any!! I read the title of the thread and thought exactly that. I guess it would be a freedom class ship to keep in tune with the British market. Would be great if Oasis "nipped" over for a while :p
Kokomo91165 Posted October 26, 2011 #22 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Prices are HIGH! Just checked a cruise (called reservations dept) for March 2013, it was $5100 for 3 people in a JS and $4100 for 3 people in a D1.
mpoole3 Posted October 26, 2011 #23 Share Posted October 26, 2011 They have posted the sailings on RCCL site now.
Jumbiecruiser Posted October 26, 2011 #24 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Glad to see that happening. I am betting on the Liberty moving to Bayonne to compete with Norwegians new ship. Freedom would stay in Pt. Canaveral. Maybe they will send the Explorer over the pond.
