Ames0299 Posted October 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2011 We are currently on a wait list for Early Main Dining. With 7 people in our group (bookings are linked) I am a little anxious that we A) wont get Early Dining or B) wont be sitting together. My TA really isn't helpful with this situation either. I am thinking about switching to anytime dining, but we have never done it before as we have never had to be put on a wait list. My dad thinks the menu wont be like the MD and that is what he really is looking for. He doesn't want to miss out on the "good stuff" as he puts it. Does anyone happen to have a menu or can tell me their experience? TIA Amy
klmorg Posted October 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2011 It's the same menu regardless of whether you choose traditional or anytime. Anytime dining is the only way we book... LOVE the flexibility of dining when we are hungry & when we are ready, with outstanding service and food in all of our experiences. Enjoy... whichever you choose! bikergrrrrrl Posted October 27, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 27, 2011 You can always go to the dining room request to be seated together if you are not. I haven't cruised since the any time dining started, but I chose traditional as I love to see the waiters dance and don't want to miss that! riffatsea Posted October 27, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 27, 2011 It's all located in the MDR so same menu BUT Anytime Dining is not always great with a large group. There are fewer tables for that size and you might have a longer wait time than those who only need table for 2 or 4.
runnergirl47 Posted October 27, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 27, 2011 The menus are exactly the same. The only difference is that you don't necessarily have the same table and waitstaff every night and you can show up whenever instead of at a set time. You still eat in the MDR. Ames0299 Posted October 27, 2011 Author #7 Share Posted October 27, 2011 Thanks everyone...I guess we will have to wait and see what happens. Maybe as we get a little closer we will get seated. Good to know about the menu..it definatly helps!
navybaby1113 Posted October 27, 2011 #8 Share Posted October 27, 2011 You shouldn't have a problem as long as your bookings are linked. If you're not seated together when you get on the ship, the dining room will fix that for you.
ccruisequeen Posted October 27, 2011 #9 Share Posted October 27, 2011 Go together with at least a few other members of your party to the Matre D (time in fun times) on day of departure to make sure you'll be together. We went in a large group (17) and had adjoining tables. Some of the people were assigned to a different table than their sister, but we solved that by just going early & seating ourselves the way we wanted. YTD fills up fast so if you want that don't waste any time. Bill
