cruisingholiday Posted October 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2011 What is the cabfare from Port Everglades to Fort Lauderdale airport. Is it a flat fee or is it per person. Thanks all.
Char Posted October 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2011 What is the cabfare from Port Everglades to Fort Lauderdale airport. Is it a flat fee or is it per person. Thanks all. It is metered per cab. Week before last the fare was about $16 and that included the charge for bags. I don't recall them ever charging for bags in the past! colocop004 Posted October 28, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 28, 2011 It is an excess bag fee, we have paid it in the past as well.
kitty9 Posted October 28, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2011 A lot also depends on how long you have to wait for the security checkpoint at the entrance to the port. Usually, it runs no more than $20, including tip, but a couple of times we've paid as much as $38 because they only had one lane open and it was a long wait, with the meter running. That would only happen going TO the port. I have have never encountered any security checkpoints LEAVING the port. :)
gerryl12 Posted October 28, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 28, 2011 I have never paid more than $20 including the tip. The fare is usually about 15 or 16 dollars. That includes passengers and bags.

We've flown into and out of FLL and taxied to/from the port numerous times and it was consistently between $14-$16! It's only a couple miles! For $38, you can almost get to Miami! Valley Girl of VA Posted October 29, 2011 #9 Share Posted October 29, 2011 What my daughter and I did in January was look around for other people who looked like they were cruising. We asked them if they wanted to share a van, which they did. They got off at Carnival and we at HAL. Came to $5 per person.

WaterholeWally Posted October 29, 2011 #11 Share Posted October 29, 2011 Most people agreed 20 dollars. I like the van idea, only because the bags can be a problem.
