Screws noise?

I'm booked on the Oosterdam on the Main Deck 102 feet from the stern.

Would there be any noise from the screws?

If there is just knock on the wall and maybe the couple next door will stop.

You should not have any noise from the ships propellers.

 

You may have some vibration from time to time, but nothing serious.

 

We were on the Ryndam at the very aft on the promenade deck and had no problems at all.

The only time we have been on the aft was on the RCL Rhapsody of The Seas in a Junior Veranda Suite. In the mornings in port we had enough noise from the thrusters to wake us up as the ship docked.:eek: Never were bothered by the main props.

There are no screws, per se, (except for the folks next door who MUST be on their honeymoon).

 

The ship is propelled by PODs affixed under the hull and which operate much like an outboard motor. They do not generate much mechanical noise. There will be the noise of the back wash caused by the churning of the propellers.

No noise but sometimes there is some spray on the stern.
