Amsterdam Hotel?

We got the Movenpick (4 star) museum district on Pricline for $99. It's right at the port. In fact we paid the bellman a nice tip and he picked up our luggage in our hotel room and walked it down to the ship check in.

Couldn't ask for something more convenient.

We stayed at the Synopsis prior to the same cruise that Diane and Doug were on. It's a boutique hotel, but great location, very nice rooms, great service. Check it out on TripAdvisor ( Cruise Critic's Sister Site)

Another vote for the Movenpick. Very nice, certainly convenient.

We took the shuttle from the airport--almost an hour wait to load, then almost another hour until we got dropped. On the good side, a room was ready by then.

Went to dining room, turned away because no reservation and no room.

Ate at new restaurant on end of complex, very good and (almost) reasonable.
