Nomsayin Posted November 8, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2011 We will be on the Diamond beginning 11 Jan for a 12-day Oz/NZ cruise. Does anyone know which nights are typically designated for formal dining on this itinerary? Thanks.

Princess will let you know when you board (there will be a dress program in your cabin) but they are always sea days and you should have 2 on a 12 day cruise. Enjoy your cruise. Aus Traveller Posted November 8, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2011 Formal nights are usually the second night at sea and the second-last night also. On a 12-night cruise there could also be a formal night in the middle.
bobhsv Posted November 8, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 8, 2011 Hi, We did this cruise on the Diamond last year. From our Princess patters, formal nights are listed as 2nd night aboard inbetween Sydney and Melbourne, and 11th night aboard, the night between Lyttleton and Tauranga.......you are possibly doing Akaroa instead of Lyttleton. Only two formal nights. Fabulous ship, enjoy!! I imagine same nights, if doing reverse itinerary ie between the ports listed. Jen

Thanks to all others who responded, too.
