alibabacruisers Posted November 25, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2011 Does anybody know where the drop off point is in Rome for this Cunard shore tour? Thanks Barry Hi Barry, when we went on the QM2 in 2009 we were dropped off and met back at the gate in front of St. Peters Square/Vatican. That was a great starting point for us. Hope this helps! Have a nice cruise! Barbara
laktex Posted November 25, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 25, 2011 You can always do it yourself by train. Its a 10 minute walk to the station in Civitavecchia - Get off at S. Pietro station in Rome (not Termini) and you are only a few minutes walk from the Vatican.

Thanks Barry In June this year we did this tour and were dropped off (and pciked up)right by the side of St Peter's Square - it was very convenient albeit a tad pricey! Alohaaa Posted November 25, 2011 #6 Share Posted November 25, 2011 Hello, When we went to Rome on a Cunard ship we contracted a private tour via http://www.realrometours.com/ William was our tour guide and he was fabulous. He met us at the train station. We followed these instructions to use the train http://heinbloed-cruiseguides.blogspot.com/2009/01/civitavecchia-italy-getting-to-vatican.html. reloopag Posted November 26, 2011 #7 Share Posted November 26, 2011 In April of this year, the drop off and pick up point was just outside of St. Peter's Square. A very convenient location to pick up Hop-on-Hop-off buses or any other tour buses. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but very convenient. There is also a very convenient public restroom in a gift shop right at the drop off spot!
