Another passport ?

My husband is a canadian citizen with a US resident card. We are cruising out of long beach on the Splendor in march. He just told me his passport expires in July of 2012. I have read that your passport should be good for 6 months after the cruise. Does he need to get a new one before we go?

If you are only cruising to the Mexican Riviera he will not need a new passport. There are some countries that require that a passport be valid for six months after your departurre date, but Mexico is not one of them. EM
