gandntravelers Posted January 6, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2012 We arrive in Buenos Aires on Jan 29, 2012 at 9:15am. We're considering an independent tour prior to embarkation at 6 pm, but are unsure how long getting through customs and immigration will take at the airport, followed by security at the pier. Azamara advises to be on the ship no later than 4:30pm - will we have enough time for a 4 hour tour? Any advice?
mains_dream Posted January 6, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2012 Hi! We are coming in for the same cruise at 9:15am too! Are you on the AA flight from DFW? I will be checking in here as we are needing the same info. BTW I am Dianne from Vancouver Island. My DH is David. Have you signed onto the roll call and joined the meet and mingle party? judytata11 Posted January 6, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2012 I just returned from an Azamara cruise departing from BA and I would say you would have plenty of time. Immigration etc. did not take long at all.

cindilouwho Posted January 7, 2012 #8 Share Posted January 7, 2012 We had a full day after disembarking with Carina - she charged a lot less than Susana and was totally awesome!!! She met us at 9:30 am at the cafe in BA with a 15 seater and a fantastic driver - she chatted with us all to plot out the itinerary for 1/2 hour and then off we went. She took 4 of us to the airport for 4 pm and 2 of us to a hotel before going to the airport. We saw EVERYTHING and took a wooden subways for part of the adventure. We went to the mausoleum where Evita is buried and had an empanada lunch in the "tango" district. She showed us the whole city including some favelas...which were very unusual. The charge was $350 for the day for 5 of us with transfers.
