Shopping in Ensenada

Is anyone familiar with stores in Ensenada that might sell cooking equipment or musical instruments?

Depending on what type of cooking supplies you are looking for, you can go to the Soriana (the market) on Gastellum (just off Lopez Mateos - the main tourist street). There is also Dorian's (a department store) on the corner of Ruiz and 3rd. There is also a larger Soriana across the street from Dorian's.

 

Don't know about musical instruments.

I am not aware of Mexico being known for inexpensive cooking equipment or musical instruments. IF you find something please write and let us know about it.

Most kitchen items are the same price as in our local Latin markets.

 

The only thing I have been tempted to buy in Ensenada was a Molcajete. Even the small ones are heavy.

I have seen wooden chocolate mixers in the market for not too much. And they are easier to carry than that molcajete! ;)

 

For musical instruments you could always as a Mariachi.

I read in a review Enenada had a store which sold DVD American movies? Does anyone know if this place still exsists?
