youda97 Posted January 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2012 We are sailing in feb on the wonder to the MR. We have reservations for brunch at palo. What is the dress code for lunch? We also have reservations for dinner at palo. What is the dress code for dinner, do men have to have a jacket or will a button up and tie work? SpoiledTraveler Posted January 10, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2012 I ate at Palo in May. My companion wore a nice shirt and tie to Palo, without a jacket. I'm not sure what the lunch dress code is.
Shmoo here Posted January 10, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2012 We are sailing in feb on the wonder to the MR. We have reservations for brunch at palo. What is the dress code for lunch? We also have reservations for dinner at palo. What is the dress code for dinner, do men have to have a jacket or will a button up and tie work? We were told Cruise Casual for brunch. Personally, I feel it needs a little more than that. Not suit and tie more, but, maybe, garden party/sunday best. The required dress code just says Cruise Casual. :)
hexdragon Posted January 10, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2012 Dinner at palo I wore a dress shirt and pants, no tie. :o
karajeboo Posted January 10, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 10, 2012 I thought Palo brunch was more than cruise casual? No shorts, but I believe khakis and golf shirt are fine for men, sundress or capris and nice top for women. At dinner, I wore a dress and DH wore a suit. hexdragon Posted January 11, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 11, 2012 Wait, you got both brunch and dinner reservations to Palo???? When we went to Alaska the brunches were sold out before our res window even opened...
ducklite Posted January 11, 2012 #7 Share Posted January 11, 2012 An oxford or polo with slacks and sundress or skirt/slacks and blouse for ladies is basically the dress code for Palo for both meals. I wouldn't go anything more casual than that though. A shirt and tie or sport coat for men would not be out of place.
OceanLiner Posted January 12, 2012 #8 Share Posted January 12, 2012 Brunch is my favorite meal at Palo's because you can enjoy the view. At dinner, at sea, in the night, the spectacular location doesn't really matter!
DisneyTech Posted January 15, 2012 #9 Share Posted January 15, 2012 Wait, you got both brunch and dinner reservations to Palo???? When we went to Alaska the brunches were sold out before our res window even opened... Often even if they are sold out online, you can go to the lounge where they are making dining changes and Palo reservations and they will be able to get you into a brunch. At least this was the case on our week-long Alaska Cruise.
hexdragon Posted January 15, 2012 #10 Share Posted January 15, 2012 Often even if they are sold out online, you can go to the lounge where they are making dining changes and Palo reservations and they will be able to get you into a brunch. At least this was the case on our week-long Alaska Cruise. We thought about that, but decided that dinner was enough. The only days we would want to do brunch was the two sea days (to not interfere with excursions). We figured that those days would be booked solid since everyone else would be thinking the same thing...
