NCL Casinos at Sea card?

We have our "free cruise" Foxwoods. Does anyone know the connection between foxwoodsband ncl?

Yp

Unless Foxwood's is a Harrah's/Ceasar's property (and I don't believe it is), there is no connection.

The marketing groups in most land casino chains work with different cruise lines to setup promotions; the benefit to the casinos involved is obvious.

I took my "free" cruise from Tropicana a few weeks ago on the Sky.

How much does one need to gamble to get some discounts from CAS?

This was my 4th NCL cruise and I am a gambler, but 95% of the time I play table games.

Since I am planning my cruise for 2013, I called CAS yesterday to see if I qualified for any kind of discount, etc.

They said NOTHING

I find this hard to believe. I don't know if it is because the SKY cruise was a short cruise or not but when I called after my pearl cruise last year they were at least offering me 15% discount when I called.

Just wondering if there was any method to their madness LOL

In a way, you've answered your own question. If you had all your table play tracked, you apparently did not play enough to qualify for any future cruise discounts. So, if you know how many $ you put in play, you at least know you'll have to play more than that next time to qualify.

The other problem is that your credit for table play relies on the pit boss to accurately observe and credit your play. It seems from the many comments on this that it's very hard to get table play tracked well.

However, the future cruise offers do not seem to follow a set formal. They are influenced not only by your tracked play on your last NCL cruise, but by the popularity of the ship & itinerary you are trying to book, and the number of cabins CAS has available on the ship. It's much easier to get a comp cruise on an older ship on the Western Caribbean run, than on the Epic on the Eastern Caribbean, or any of the Alaska runs.

If you are a rated member of Harrah's Total Rewards program, you are always entitled to a % discount based on your status. For Harrah's Diamond level players, I believe that is 20%. There is a webpage on the NCL site that lists the levels and the discounts.

Finally, here's the formula used on board for points calculation, at least on the slots:

Casino points: 1 point = $5 through the machines ($10 on VP).

1500 points for the free drink card

2500 points to qualify for end of cruise credit.

I *think* the formula is the same for table games. If you know the # of points you were awarded on your last cruise, you can use this formula to determine if you got an accurate count for your play.

I revived a free cruise certificate from a local casino, but I did not take one of the cruises offered on the certificate, I traded it in towards another cruise! Will I still receive the free drink card since it is a different ship and itinerary?

You should since it is still a casino offer. I received one from my local casino as well but didn't want to book through them since my offers through my local junket seemed better. Ultimately though I would think that you would still get all the offers that would have come with the original offer.

I'd suggest you call which ever cruise line you booked with and talk to their players department. All the major cruise lines have a players club program that you can call to confirm but I think you are good. Write back and let us know.

Can anyone confirm that the Tampa port for NCL has a CAS vip line for embarkation? I read that only certain ports have CAS lines? I am leaving on the Dawn on Feb 24th and would love to know what line to get in. (I also am on a free cruise through Caesars) Thanks!

We just booked a 2 bedroom suite on the Jewel with the Harrah's discount. Does anyone know if the second couple traveling with us in the suite will receive the drink cards? The discount and the drink cards for my DW and I are great, but if they extend the drink cards to our friends...that would just be outstanding!

I'm leaving in about 4 weeks and was ready to book my specialty restaurants. Now I'm reading that casino credits could give you credit for some of the restaurants and money taken off of your end bill. If I book now, and pay in full, will I still get credit back?

No, they will not credit you back what you already paid for. If you make a significant donation to the casino they may offer you some dinner or spa comps during your cruise, as well as take some money off the charges you have made to your on board account during the cruise.

If they are booked with your reservation and in the same room they should receive the drink cards as well.

Yes, you should both have players cards and drink cards waiting for you.

Unless you're booked in a penthouse suite or higher, you will not get the suite perks such as breakfast and lunch in Cagneys.

Your main benefit, at first, will be the drink card. You'll probably also get some little treats (chocolates, little snacks) in your cabin in the evening from the CAS people. If you play enough, they'll probably offer you a comp'd dinner in one of the restaurants, or a comp'd spa treatment, or send a bottle of wine up to your room.

Don't forget to "cash in" your CAS points on the last night of the cruise. Listen for the announcements in the casino about this; if you have enough points you go to the casino services desk on the last night and they will look at your play and offer you some credit against your final on-board bill.

I also booked through Casinos at Sea through the Harrahs voucher-Im going on the new Breakaway in October and upgraded to an AFT Penthouse Suite. It was a considerably higher proce but I am guessing it will be worth it!

What do you mean by the suite/penthouse perks with breakfast and lunch at Cagneys? Is that a comp as well if we have a penthouse room?

On Breakaway, the breakfast and lunch special venue for suite guests is the Haven Restaurant. No charge. On other ships, it is Cagneys, and there is no charge for breakfast and lunch (and it isnt open to anyone except suite guests). There is still a charge for dinner at Cagneys.

It's my understanding that you can use the onboard credit to purchase the drink package onboard, but it'll cost you a bit more. I believe that NCL discounts the Ultimate Beverage Package by $5/day when you purchase it in advance.

You must book through Casino's at Sea to get your discounts! You may qualify for a free cabin, just paying port charges and taxes or a discounted cruise! It will depend on your play of your last cruise! They go back and check to see what you qualify for! If you book at least a balcony cabin there is a promotion going on! Tomorrow would be the last day for this particular promotion! You would get a choice of unlimited dining or unlimited drinks. Plus I think an on-board credit. They will have another promotion for March, but not sure what that will be. This would apply to either booking through casino Marketing or TA.

Just wanted to bump this thread up and give some insight from my free cruise that I received through my local casino...

Got a free cruise for two in an inside cabin..

Went on the NCL Dawn from Boston to Bermuda 10/9-10/16..

As for priority check-in, yup! The CAS line is the "VIP" line at the Boston port..

We were in Group 1 to board, boarding immediately after the Suite guests and handicapped/needs folks..

Casino was great! I hit a $3,000 jackpot on a Quick Hit machine..

Did get our drink cards and player cards, however, they were not in our room. We changed rooms last minute and therefore did not get our cards. We had to request them in the casino. Not a huge issue but we missed the VIP cocktail party because we did not have the invite in our room..

Nothing was sent to our room such as chocolates or champagne..

We did end up getting to take $25 off our final bill when we traded in points..

Best part.. called NCL two days after to inquire about a future cruise we had booked and based off the play from the last cruise we got another cruise for free! This time an oceanview!

WORTH IT. :D:D:D

Our cruise to Alaska was booked through Casinos at Sea uitilizing the discount we recieve as Total Rewards Platinum members. I've only sailed NCL once, 15 years ago, so I am not familiar with their boarding processes, but I have read that there is a designate CAS line in some ports. How do you know if you are eligible for that line? Is that just for VIP's who are on comped cruises or previous high rollers...

thanks in advance. :)

I believe they say the minimum you must earn that cruise to have $$ taken off is 2500 points. That should be at least $25 off your bill but it can be higher. It depends on what types of charges you have. They can't remove things like DSC. They can take off food or drink you've charged to your room. I've also had them give credit towards excursions and some small gift shop items. I've had them take off over $80 when I was expecting it to be less than $30 (3000 pts.) Another cruise it was $121 for a similar amount of points. Then on some cruises it seems to be only 25 for 25....those might have been 'winning' weeks for me:cool:
