Transportation from Long Beach Port

Just a quick question that I haven't been able to find the answer to:

For a couple disembarking an Inspiration cruise in March and wanting to head to Santa Monica - without renting a car - is it possible to grab a shuttle at the port or do you have to have a reservation ahead of time?

I'm thinking a shuttle may be cheaper than a taxi. At least we will know ahead of time what it's going to cost us. (in case we run into traffic, etc, a cab can get up there!)

I don't know if shuttles are there looking for passengers, you can certainly schedule one ahead of time. There are several shuttle companies that will pick up.

Do not let them charge you more than $50 for 2 people. Prime Time and Supershuttle are the biggest companies out there, plenty of smaller ones.
