Current designated smoking areas on Emerald Princess.

Thank you....

Deck 16 had a covered area by the bar- think it was Mermaid’s tail and a small standing area on Deck 7.  Also in the Casino and cigar lounge.  I loved the Deck 16 area as they had coffee and juice in the morning in 2018.  On Ruby in 2019 it was only coffee.

Outdoors:

Promenade deck 7, starboard side aft  - a small standing area just aft of the door.

Dec 16 forward next to Tradewinds Bar. This area has some tables, chairs and is partially under cover.

Dec 17 starboard side aft underneath Skywalkers.

Indoors:

Certain casino slots while playing. All table games and the casino bar are non smoking. The casino does have one or more non-smoking evenings from 6pm on.

A certain section of Skywalkers nightclub. During the day the entire Skywalkers may be non smoking.

Speakeasy Cigar Lounge, deck 6 forward. This is the only location on the ship where you can smoke cigars and pipes.

I smoke premium (high end cuban) cigars - typically one or two / day. I don't inhale them. I smoke them for the pure enjoyment of them. They are NOT like cigarettes - there's only ONE ingredient. They are like wine - they can age and flavours develop. I have cigars that are 40 years old.

Now I ALWAYS follow the rules.

I was on saphire, and found the outdoor smoking section. Now, saphire ALSO has a "churchill lounge - (the nicest one I've seen).

Anyways, I sat down in the smoking area and fired up a cigar (people all around me smoking cigarettes).  A staff member came to me and said I could NOT smoke cigars there.  WHAT??    I'm outside, in the middle of tobacco smoke!

I told the staff member to get their manager. I told the manager that if he were to go down to churchill's,  and remove ALL the cigarette smokers then I would be glad to go there. He then said, ok - you can smoke here so long as no one complains. No one ever did.

The churchills on my alaskan cruise was small, and always full of people chain-smoking cigarettes.  I totally avoided it, and kept my smoking to outdoors - as did all the cigar smokers I encountered.

Sailing on my first Princess cruise on the Grand Princess.

Now that I'm not allergic to smoke it isn't that important that I avoid the smoking areas.  I'm just wondering are they out of the way?  Would I have to go through any to get to another area of the ship without taking large detours?  Still don't like the smell, but at least I don't feel like I'm going to die.

Outdoors:

Small standing area on the promenade deck aft starboard side outside of the Vista Lounge

Deck 15 forward, port side area next to Seabreeze bar

Either deck 15 or 16, can't remember, port side aft

Indoors:

Snooker's cigar bar deck 6 forward

Some casino slots while playing.

Thanks!  Seems like they are not in main areas that I would have to go through.

We just got off the Royal Princess and saw in the patter that vaping is allowed in staterooms...

Do you know where current smoking areas are on the Royal Princess?  They seem to change sometimes.  Thanks.

What is smoking policy on the Golden Princess.  Hubby has refused cruising with Princess for 15 years because of the smoke but I heard it is better now

No smoking in any cabin or balcony. No smoking around any pool areas. No smoking in dining areas.

Smoking limited to limited specific areas on the ship:

Area next to Tradewinds Bar, deck 15 forward.

Small standing area starboard side aft outside of Vista Lounge.

Some casino slots while playing. Table games and casino bar are non smoking. Casino is smoke free some evenings.

An area in Skywalker's Nightclub.

Player's Cigar Bar, deck 6 forward. This is the only area where you can smoke cigars or pipes.

Believe there is another area port side on the Horizon Terrace, deck 14 aft or on deck 16 aft.

Vaping follows the same restrictions except vaping allowed in cabins.

As a non-smoker I have not found any issues with smoke on Princess ships.

Hi

About sky princess...

Deck 17 aft doesn't show a bar.

I'm looking for an outdoor area by a bar where I can enjoy a good cigar.

Also, what's churchils like? Any pics?

Thanks in advance!

There is a bar on Deck 16 right below.

What ship?

Churchills is filled with cigarette smoke.

The ones on the Coral and island are very nice.

The Sky small and cramped.

No outdoor area for cigars.
