Port to Old Town Riga Question

We will be in Riga, Lativa this Summer on the Vision of the Seas.

Will we be able to walk from the ship to old town? If not,

What is the best way to get to old town. We would like to

do this on our own? We want to roam around and take in some of the old world charm. Is this possible?
