KrystalWaters Posted February 6, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2012 have the scenic ocean view rooms? I can't seem to find them on the Carnival website and I know there are a couple of ships that offer this option. Thank you for your assistance. :)

KrystalWaters Posted February 6, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted February 6, 2012 MartiniMom: i'm speaking of the rooms in which instead of a potential balcony the rooms are encased in windows. I believe the rooms are as big as a room+balcony w/o the balcony. Maybe they are called Vista Ocean View?
Kryssa Posted February 6, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2012 I know the Norwegian Star has these... they are called Family Suites and they are on deck 12... never heard of something like this on a Carnival ship, though :P
cruisinJenF Posted February 6, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 6, 2012 It's a category 6J and I know Valor and Liberty have them. Not sure on other ships.
cruisinJenF Posted February 6, 2012 #6 Share Posted February 6, 2012 There are also 6K rooms on Valor and Liberty that are "Scenic Grand Oceanview". See 9200 and 9201 on Valor for an example of the 6Ks.
kkdleon Posted February 6, 2012 #7 Share Posted February 6, 2012 You're looking for category 4J - Interior with picture window (obstructed view) These cabins are the same size as regular Interior, Oceanview and Balcony cabins at 185 square feet. They are all the way forward on the ship. I noticed they have them on the Liberty. According to my friend Google, Splendor, Conquest class ships (including the Liberty, Freedom, Glory, Valor, and Conquest) Dream Class (Dream, Magic, Breeze) and Destiny class ships (Destiny, Victory, Triumph) all have category 4J cabins available. The only 4J's that appear to be larger are irregularly shaped, handicap accessible cabins.
KrystalWaters Posted February 6, 2012 Author #8 Share Posted February 6, 2012 It's a category 6J and I know Valor and Liberty have them. Not sure on other ships. This is it!! THANK YOU THANK YOU!! cruisinJenF Posted February 6, 2012 #9 Share Posted February 6, 2012 I think they mean the 6J's on Valor and Liberty that are actually called "Scenic Oceanview" rooms. They are all the way forward and your room is as big as if you had a balcony except you have floor to ceiling window and 230 sg ft. Window dimensions are. Window

Already gone. I think what i'm going to have to do is wait until the rest of the schedule for 2013 comes out so i can try and snap them up. Shucks! I think they are a small kept secret. KrystalWaters Posted February 6, 2012 Author #24 Share Posted February 6, 2012 how can you tell? is there a way to just search by the cabin room you want specifically or do i have to call Carnival?
cruisinJenF Posted February 6, 2012 #25 Share Posted February 6, 2012 You would have to call Carnival or search those sailings on their website. I am searching with their booking tool which you would not be able to do. Sorry :(. But I do show that room avail to be booked in March and April 2013 just checking that one room.
