What to Wear on Trans Atlantic Sea Days

I see that the average temp in Tenerife in March is 62c but was wondering how the temperature will be from there to Southampton. The wife was wondering what to take to replace the shorts she normally wears during the day on sea days. What have others taken?

I normally take loose linen trousers and perhaps some comfy lightweight joggers for the last day. A T-shirt and optional cardigan sees me through.
