I do it on every cruise and there is always some point when I am thrilled I brought them. I do not, however, bring Duct Tape.

Nope, you're not alone. I take the deck plans and even went so far as to make myself a small laminated cheat sheet that told me what deck things were on. Of course, this didn't give you a clue as to which way to turn once you were on that deck so I was still got lost some but it did help.

 

Even on ships I have sailed on multiple times I find myself, at one point or another, glancing out the window to help me decide which way is FORWARD or AFT... (I am ASSUMING we ARE heading FORWARD!):o
