mouse0217 Posted February 23, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2012 We have booked an inside cabin on the Pearl to Alaska. WooHoo! It is one of the sideway cabins. I have read all about the layout, but was wondering if anyone has any photos. Also, if they liked the set up? We can change it, if there are enough negative comments. Thanks! nursebubba Posted February 23, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2012 We have the same thing in march. Where did you read about the layout. Thanks
Got Tequila? Posted February 23, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2012 We have booked an inside cabin on the Pearl to Alaska. WooHoo! It is one of the sideway cabins. We love the sideways cabins on the GEM and JEWEL. The cabin size is the same as the others in that category but with the door on a side wall it makes the room appear much roomier. Rare Clay Clayton Posted February 23, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2012 No photos, sorry, but we loved our sideways on Jade which should be similar to yours. In addition to Got Tequila's thoughts that the door on the side makes it seem roomier, I felt like having one less door in the closet/bathroom area made it easier to use...no so many doors liable to bump into each other. cls711 Posted February 24, 2012 #6 Share Posted February 24, 2012 My sons shared a sideways on the Pearl in Alaska. They loved it. We moved the beds into an L-Shape and the room felt much bigger.
jdvmd Posted February 25, 2012 #7 Share Posted February 25, 2012 We had a sideways on the Sun and absolutely loved the cabin. We had three in the room and it really does seem like it is bigger. Would book it again in a second.
MagnoliaBlossom Posted February 25, 2012 #8 Share Posted February 25, 2012 The sideways cabins we have had are wonderful. You have so much more usable space! The door is in the center of thecabin, straight ahead would be your sofa, to the right on the back wall is the bed, to your right on thefront wall is a vanity and on the side wall is a closet. To the left is the bathroom and a dressing area with a set of closets onthe front wall and cubbies and shelves onthe back wall. Very convenient when dressing because you have a his and hers sort of area. Thevanity isnt blocking closet or bathroom access. They are the best insidecabins to have. Will this be the same configuration for our cat. OK (obstructed ocean view) cabin on the Pearl?
Rare Clay Clayton Posted February 26, 2012 #10 Share Posted February 26, 2012 For what it's worth our sideways on Jade didn't have a sofa.
