terpfan101 Posted February 27, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2012 Was contemplating getting a package and was wondering how full these restaurants get before boarding. So to those who have eaten in a specialty, did you reserve ahead of time or onboard? If onboard were there plenty of times to choose from? Thanks. We have been on the Allure twice and have eaten in Chiops three times. Twice we pre-booked and once we made a reservation a few days in advance. On two occassions Chops was about half full and on the third occassion it was about three quarters fillled. We like an early booking; around 7:00PM. For the on-board booking there was a number of times available but I remember that we did not get our first choice of time. Just go right to the restaurants when you board. They are open to take reservations when boarding starts.
NYCRUISR Posted February 27, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2012 We dined in CHOPS twice this past October and both times made reservations onboard. Same with Giovanni's table, which was not as occupied as Chops was.
sherilyn70 Posted February 27, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2012 In February this year (which was after the package dining started being offered) we made a 6pm reservation for Chops on the same day... but they only had 6 or 9 open. This was on a port day. They were pretty filled when we got there and it took 30 minutes between the starter being finished and main entreeactually being served. I can't really say how 150 Central Park was doing since we dined here the same night as the superbowl. They were pretty slow that night.
bajathree Posted February 27, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2012 It really depends on the crowd....some sailings they are very busy other sailings not so much. The specialty restaurants on the Eastern book better than the Western.
